What to do When the Church Hurts You

Through the years I have seen many people mistreated not only by church leadership but also by their brothers and sisters in Christ. I have seen people leave church spiritually broken most especially when church leadership has hurt them. People broken by those who were supposed to lift them up and help them succeed. Sad but true. So, what can you do when this happens to you? The best you can do is pray for those who hurt you. Why? Because first, when you pray for those who have hurt you, you are showing the enemy of our souls that you are a child of God! You will not be broken! You will not harbor unforgiveness! You will choose to love! Even when love hurts! And second, when you pray for those who have hurt you, it is pretty much impossible to hold unforgiveness in your heart towards them. So, pray, wounded soldier, pray! Additionally, you can try to talk to the leader or Christian who hurt you but what do you do when the leaders who hurt you refuse to talk to you? The exact same thing, pray! And know that you have done your best because you have reached out. It is no longer on you; it is on them. Shake the dust from your feet and move on!

Hurt and betrayal from those in the church are some of the hardest to get past because church is supposed to be a safe place. But so often this is not the case. Remember the story of the good Samaritan? The man was hurt and broken, yet the church people passed him by. This was not pleasing to the Lord at all. Yet it still happens today. Though the Christians and the leaders in the church may reach out to those who are obviously physically hurt, they unfortunately will very often pass by those who are emotionally and spiritually hurting every day and do absolutely nothing. They don’t want to get involved, it’s not their problem. I have actually heard it preached that the preacher didn’t want to be around hurting people, only happy people because he wanted to feel good. Oh, how sad a thing to say! Jesus came for the hurting. He wanted to be where the hurting people were! The thing to remember is this – God is not people! God is God! When Christian people hurt you don’t get mad at God. He does not control people or their actions. He gave us all a free will. People, even Christians, are fallible. God is a god of love and reconciliation. He hates discord, gossip, jealousy, envy, selfishness, lies, etc… He told us that we should always esteem our brother above ourselves. But sadly, we don’t often do this. People hurt people. What they do or have done is not hidden from God’s eyes. However, neither is your response to the hurt they inflicted. They will be held accountable for the hurt and the neglect to reconcile, even more so when they hold a leadership position. But you also will be held accountable for your action and reaction. Choose to walk in love. That does not mean to ignore the hurt. The hurt is real. Betrayal is real. And it is one of the hardest hurts to get past. Counselors will tell you that it can take years to recover from a friend’s betray. That may be true without God, but if you will go to God with your hurt and give it all to him, he will remove the thorns of the betrayal and heal the wound. You will not have to walk around as a wounded soldier for years! Remember, God is always near to those who are brokenhearted. He is just waiting for you to bring it to him!

I look at this world and I see how Christianity is rejected and even hated by the world. Christians will say it is Satan’s doing. I say, partly but not completely. It is also the Christian’s doing. We have to take responsibility and stop looking for a scapegoat. The world has a hard time seeing the love of the Christian. God’s word says that we are supposed to be out in the world preaching the gospel. All of us, not just Pastor’s. Not all preaching is done with sermons. Some preaching is done with a smile to a stranger, being kind wherever you are and whomever you are with, showing patience when patience is running thin, helping those who need help, a phone call just to ask, “how are you?” Spending time with Jesus and taking the fragrance of him with you wherever you go! Changing the atmosphere for the better!

God’s word says that these signs will follow those who believe…they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. (Mark 16:15-20) Sadly, though, we most often hang around our church buddies, living our lifestyles within our Christian circles, gossiping about each other, lifting ourselves up while making others sound bad, backbiting, causing turmoil and tension and leaving trails of hurt wherever we go, and flat out telling lies about others. I know of a lady who left the church shamed by a respected member of the church who started a vicious lie about her and the leadership heard it and removed her from her place of ministry. It was a fabricated lie and this beautiful woman of God was now a wounded soldier. We also will go out to eat and leave the tiniest tips we can, we are rude to the waiters and waitresses, our attitudes stink because we expect everyone to be nice to us all the time and when they aren’t, well shame on them! The thing is, it’s hard to find the joy within our hearts when we walk around hurting badly on the inside. So, we take that hurt wherever we go, and we spread it around. And then we sit in our Christian circles and wonder why the world hates us. We wonder why our prayers aren’t getting answered. We wonder why people around us are dying and we are powerless to help them. We walk around with our form of godliness, denying the power within and shaking our fingers at all the sinners and even the Christians who walk differently than our oh-so-perfect selves do! We say things like, “Can you believe he did such a thing! How dare she wear that! I saw her with a glass of wine! I saw him talking to another woman! If she does that it will kill her! She’s going to die anyway! No prayer will help him! That couple is having problems, have you heard? Well, let me tell you so we can pray for them!” Oh, I could go on! The thing is, there is nothing that is ever said in secret. There are always at least two who also hear, God and the enemy of our souls. What displeases God makes Satan dance with joy. He takes those words that we speak against each other and uses them against us before God. In Revelation 12 it talks about how the accuser of the brethren is before God day and night. In addition to our un-Christlike actions, he uses our own words against us! Just like a judge and a jury down here. Why do you think the first thing an arrested person is told is to remain silent? Because anything they say can and will be used against them! Not only does Satan use our own words against us, he uses the words we say against others to hurt them. Example: (Satan to God) “You can’t trust sister so-and-so, even the leader of the church says she did such and such!”

As the church, we need to weigh very carefully everything we say and everything we do. Words are powerful! God created the whole world by his words, and he made us in his image!  Our words are powerful because we are his children and we are to be like him! Can we create a world from nothing like God did? No! But we can create a world of mess or we can create a world of love, peace, forgiveness and reconciliation. Your choice. God’s word says let your yes be yes and your no be no, anything else is from the enemy. Mathew 5:37. In other words, when you tell someone something – do it! Keep your word! Not keeping your word is equal to lying. And Satan is the father of liars. If you don’t keep your word you are not acting like God, you are acting like Satan and just like him, you are going to create a world of mess wherever you go.

As Christians, we must read God’s word daily to learn what a Christian is and to walk like a Christian. We are to be Christians! Christians are not perfect, but we are to strive to be perfect like He is perfect. The more we strive for it the better we will get at it. In addition, learn to fear and reverence God! This is something that is most definitely lacking in our Christian culture today. There is very little true fear of God. We believe God is love, and he is, but he is also our Judge. Who stands before a judge with no fear? Only a fool. Church, it’s time to grow up! Look around! The world needs what God has to offer. We are to be his hands, his feet, his mouth! We are sent to leave our comfortable Christian circles and go into the world. And when we do, if the world does not recognize that there is something different about us, then we are failing. My son’s neighbor recently said that he and his family were weird. Oh, how I loved hearing that! They noticed! The world should notice! We should not have to say we are Christian, we should show it in such a way that they should say, “Hey, there goes (or here comes) a Christian!”

Finally, stop hurting your brothers and your sisters in Christ, take care of one another. If one part of the body is hurting, the whole body is hurt. Treat others the way you want to be treated and love each other as yourself. In conclusion, CS Lewis said, “To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.” When you have been hurt or betrayed this may be difficult, but the truth is, if you want answers to prayer you need to forgive, otherwise, you are praying in vain.
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”  On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 2while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 1 Corinthians 12:21-26

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.  For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.  For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heave is perfect. Matt. 5:48

A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. Proverbs 16:28

For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. 2 Cor. 12:20

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. Proverbs 18

The first to plead his case seems right, until another comes and examines him. Proverbs 18:17

Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. Romans 1:29

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. James And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:17-18

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. Mark 16:15-19

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:3-4

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:25 ESV)

 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Is our God not the God of the impossible? Is anything to difficult for Him who created the sun and the moon and the stars and put them in their place? Is He not the God that spoke to ocean and said, “This far you may come and no farther, this is where your proud waves end”? Is He not the God that formed you in your mother’s womb and planned out each and every day of your life? Is he not the God who has every hair on your head numbered? Is he not the God that knows even when the sparrow falls? Is He not the God who created the heavens and the earth? Who stores us the snow and the rain? Who commands the lightning to go forth? Even the winds and the waves obey him! Is he not the God that knows your beginning and your end? Oh, let God be true and every man a liar! He is the God of miracles! Of signs and wonders! He is the God of love and mercy. He heals the sick, He makes the blind see and the lame to walk! Is there anything too difficult for Him? Anything at all?!? God is limited only by our faith! So rise up oh warrior of God! Speak forth the truth! God’s truth!! Lift up your voice and remind God of his promises! Remind Him of the blood that is ever before Him in his throne room upon his mercy seat. Take your position in Christ, where you are seated together with him. Our God is the God who watches over his word to perform signs and wonders to those who believe and call on his name! Let your prayers and petitions rise up to His heavenly throne room as a fragrant incense before Him. He himself has said that His word will not return void but will perfect that which it was sent out to do. Open up your mouth and speak and your words spoken in truth and in faith will not fall to the ground. Speak forth His words oh warrior of God! Do not let fear overcome you! Trust in God! Trust in his word! Speak! Speak His truth and not man’s! Speak God’s words!

“The time for prayer is now. Now more than ever before! The battle all around you is raging! Th enemy of your souls is out to destroy you. You are overcomers, but only by my word and by my promises. Prayer is necessary! Even my son, Jesus, prayed daily. Daily He spent time with me praying and seeking. Are you better than he? Can you make it as an overcomer without daily prayer? You may try, but you will fail. My Word teaches you to pray at all times. But how is this possible you ask? By putting me first, daily. When I am truly first in your life, when you are truly dedicated to a relationship with me, then I will continually be in your thoughts. Our intimacy will grow. You will learn to hear my voice clearer than you ever have. And as you think of me and learn my voice and meditate on my words daily, you will then learn to pray continuously. This will not be something difficult to do. It will flow from your heart within and soon you will be praying continuously like you never have before. This does not mean that every second of your life you will be stopping or kneeling in prayer, it means that you will be continuously prayer ready. In your thoughts, in your hearts, in your minds, in your daily life. Idle thoughts will be turned into prayers. Anytime you talk to me, anytime you think of me, this is prayer in its most intimate form. There are other times of more intense prayer, but there are times of intimate prayer that I long for. It is in these times that we grow closer and more intimate with each other. It is in these times that your love for me grows deeper and it is through this love that your trust in me grows. Intimate prayer. Just you and me. Talking, sharing, reading my Word, and learning of me. Intimate times. Love and trust grows through intimacy. And then faith blossoms. Intimacy with me is like the rain that fertilizes your faith. Without intimacy, without closeness, how can you truly love and trust me, and how can you have faith in me and all that I created you to be in me?

Daily, my children. Daily spend time with me. The world needs you. I need you. For it is through you, my children, that I will reach the world. You are my hands, you are my mouth, you are my feet. I work through you. My Spirit dwells within you. You must know who you are! You must know my promises! You cannot believe for something that you do not know that you have! You must be thoroughly convinced that my promises are true and trustworthy and that they are for my children as much today as they were when they were first spoken. Learn of me, my children. Intimately. Daily. Privately and then publicly. Let’s go for there is much to do! I love you my children. I am waiting!”

Take me away with you – let us hurry! Let the king bring me into His chambers. Song of Songs 1;4

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35

One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. Luke: 6:12

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. Isaiah 26:9

Those who know your name will trust in you, for you Lord have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalms 9:10

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the Word of Christ. Rom. 10:17

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And through Him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Cor. 1:20

Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess. 5:16-18

Time is growing short for all men. The enemy is progressing in his plans against my people. Many will fall. If my children will not listen, if they will not obey, if they will not place me first in their lives, they are in danger. Spiritual danger as well as physical danger. Oh, hear my heart my children! I love you! I have given you all things! Everything you need for a victorious life dwells within you! You cry out to me for help, yet help has already come. Learn who you are and walk in it.

My children, you walk around as if you are powerless, yet all the power you need resides within you. You are the temple of my Holy Spirit. Do you not understand what that means, my children? Do you not know? All power and authority has been given to you by virtue of my name. The Holy Spirit, your counselor and your guide resides within you to help you and lead you. How often do you fellowship with my Holy Spirit? I have told you in my Word that all you need to do is ask and that whatever  you ask the Father in my name I will give you. All my promises are yours for the taking. I am always saying “yes” to every promise I have given you!

All power and authority on earth has been given to man. It is through you that I work on earth. This is how it was ordained from the beginning. But you don’t know who you are! You don’t know what you have! You lack power because you lack wisdom. You look to man for the answers instead of searching for yourself. All you need is in my Word. Search for wisdom like hidden treasure. Stop letting the things of this world take first place in your lives! You read my Word and you wonder how the people could have had so many gods in their lives – look around! So do you! You may not call them gods, but whatever is above me in priority in your lives is your god above me. I will not share first place with any other god. I am not only to be number one in your life – I am to be the only One! Search for me! Search for truth!

You call yourself a Christian? Then act like it! Faith without works is dead. Where are your works? Show me! Are you spreading the Gospel? Are you casting out demons? Are you healing the sick? Are you raising the dead? Show me! Let the world see what a Christian really is! Help the blind to see and the lame to walk. Give what has been given to you. You don’t think you have anything to give? Then go back to the beginning and learn who you are. If you do not believe that you have anything to give, then you have no idea who you are, what I have done for you, or what you have been given by the blood and suffering of my son. Go back and learn. Search for wisdom and you will find her if you search for her with all of your heart.

Time is short. Evil has come. It is here. Will you stand? There is nothing to fear if you know who you are, if you you know who I am, and if you know who we are together. For I live inside you through my Holy Spirit. All that I AM is within you. Know this and walk in the fullness of it. The lost is seeking for answers. Will my church be ready to answer them? It will take every member doing their part to win this war in the fullest way. If not, there will be many casualties that should never be. It is up to you, my church. It is up to you. Faith without works is dead. Where are your works?

  • It is the business of Christians to prove to the world by actual demonstration that the promises of God are as true today as they were two thousand years ago. They were given to be known and recognized, claimed, and pleaded in prayer. They are to be sown and tilled by prayer.
  • What place should the Word of God have in us? I answer that it ought to obtain and retain a vital place in our thoughts, our memory, our conscience and our affections. It ought to obtain and retain in us a place of honor, reverence, faith, love and obedience. It ought to obtain and retain in us a place of trust. It ought to obtain and retain in us a place of authority.
  • Standing on the promises of God means getting them fulfilled. It means appropriating the blessing that each promise reveals. It means praying “the prayer of faith” for their fulfillment. Neglecting the promises is equivalent to undoing what their fulfillment would mean if it were already accomplished.

There is a darkness, a spiritual darkness covering the whole earth. There is much evil in the days ahead. But like in the days of Noah, no one is listening. People are not heeding the signs and the warnings. They go about their busy lives like all is well. It is not. The darkness is thick. The evil is present. Look outside your limited vision. See what’s going on in the world around you. If you think you are safe because you live in America, you are wrong. Evil is covering the whole earth. It comes in many forms. Complacency stands out in America. Complacency will kill you. It is a silent killer.

Oh my people wake up!

Where are you? I look for you, but I cannot find you. I look in my courts, in my throne room, but you are not there. Where are you? Your brothers and sisters are suffering. Do you not care? Do you think you cannot help? Are your prayers weak and worthless? Am I a God who ignores the prayers, the pleas, the cries of my children? What kind of God am I to you? How do you see me? Am I weak? Am I uncaring? Do I turn a blind eye to my children? Do you do these things to your children? Do you believe you are a better parent to your children than I am a Father to mine? You are weak and powerless because you see me as weak and powerless. If that were not true you would be walking with the full power and authority that was given to you through the precious blood of my one and only Son. Oh, how he suffered for your freedom. Yet you live locked up in a prison with chains on.  A self-made prison built with bars of faithlessness and chains of complacency.

Oh my children, time is short. The enemy is ravaging the earth. You are only safe in me. You must stay close. You must continue to cover yourself and clothe yourself with the blood of my son, Jesus. Be fully armored and fully aware at all times. Listen closely for my voice; it will save your life. But how can you hear me when you do not listen? How can you listen when you do not spend time in my presence? Do not think you can’t be tricked or deceived. You must learn to discern my voice from the enemy’s. Spend time daily in my presence. That is how you will learn. I am your defense. My word, prayer and faith are your weapons. Without my Word how can you pray effectively? Without prayer, how can you have faith? Without faith how will you win the battles that lie before you?

Where are you my children? My throne room is awaiting your presence. I can do nothing without your prayers. All authority on earth has been given unto you. I need your prayers. People need your prayers. You need your prayers. Your family needs your prayers.  There are events that are set into motion and will definitely come to pass, but what happens in between those times depends on my people and their prayers. Not everything is set in stone. Many things happen or don’t happen as a result of the cries of my people. Your prayers matter. They are important.  Why do you think I said that the effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man avails much? Are these empty, meaningless words? Do you believe them? Who are the righteous on the earth? My people are! But sadly, many remain silent. Too busy to pray anything more but their daily ritualistic prayers.  Words that come out of their mouth out of habit and not faith. Faith is what moves me. Faith. Build up your faith by stepping out and doing something with what has been given to you. You keep seeking for more but haven’t used what  you have. Faith when used multiplies itself. It will grow stronger within you as you step out and walk in it. My people faith awaits you. It is knocking at your door. It is tired of being stagnant. Will you invite faith into your life? Look for wisdom, she will help you. She will guide you. The time is now. It is not tomorrow. It is now. Time is short. The enemy is prevailing. Soon, very soon, it will be where you live. America is not safe.

Time is quickly passing and my children rarely listen. They fail to hearken to me and to hear my voice. They rise and go about their daily busy lives never giving me a thought. I sit, I wait, I watch, but they do not take the time to think or ponder on me or my word.

Time is getting short. What are my children waiting for? Are you certain for your tomorrow? Do you feel safe in your future? Are you so content and secure in your life that I am not needed?

Wisdom is not sought after. Knowledge of me is not sought for.  For most I am just a passing thought. On Sundays they adorn my pews. They raise their self-righteous hands and sing songs of praise with their lips, but I am far from their hearts. They do not want me as I desire to be wanted. They use me for times of trouble. They wear me as a badge to display for others to see, but at home their badge is nowhere to be found.

Where are you, my children? Where am I in your life? Where do I fit in? Do I fit in?

As your God, shouldn’t I do more than just fit in? As the lover and creator of your very essence, shouldn’t I have priority in your life? Don’t you realize that your life is mine and I can call you home whenever I choose? Do you believe that tomorrow is yours to live? Who told you that? Let me hear the scripture you stand on for your very life. Recite it to me. Bring it to my remembrance. Can you? Will you?

Oh, my children, I miss you! I remember with joy the day you were born into my kingdom. Your love, your joy, your enthusiasm made me smile and brought me laughter birthed from the joy and the pleasure of your love for me. But now my soul aches. It longs for fellowship with you, my children, for you are far off and you rarely enter my presence. Like a parent who longs to hear from her child who is far away, so I long to hear from you daily. Oh how I long with such intense desire to hear from you! My soul aches for you. Do you care? Do you really love me? What does your love for me mean to you? What have you given to nourish our love? How important is our relationship to you? As you long for the love of others whom you love, so I long for you with even greater intensity. Oh how my soul longs for you!

I see the future. I know what is ahead. You are not ready. You are not prepared. There is so much to do. Time is getting short. Time is running out. You think you have tomorrow, but tomorrow is not what you think it is going to be. I see what is coming. I know what is here.  I look at you, my children and I grieve deeply within the very essence of all that I am. You are not ready! You live your life like all is well. It is not! Yet, you don’t see it. Your discernment is dull. You are blended with the world. You should be a light that shines so brightly that those in the darkness run to you and look to you to find the answers they cannot find. To find the hope, the love, the shelter that they do not have. They are wanderers and they are blinded. The world is dark. They look for the lights but they cannot find them for the lights in this world that should be shining brightly and guiding the paths for those that are lost, shines so dimly that they are barely seen.

What makes your light shine brighter? Can you do this on your own? Can a candle light itself? Can it continue to shine where there is no breath of life? If you take away its oxygen, its life source, you take away its life. Though it is still a candle it is not producing the light needed for those around.

I am your oxygen! I am your light source! The enemy is working hard at keeping you from me and he is succeeding. For you are barely flickering.

Oh, my children, come back to me. Remember your first love. Oh how you rejoiced over me! Rejoice over me again! Stir yourself up by spending time with me daily. Learn to listen and to hear my voice as I speak to you. Put aside the less important things. Put me first. Oh how I miss you, my children!

Hear me, my children, the storm is not only coming, the storm is already here. The enemy is growing stronger as the time is growing shorter. Faith and prayer is lacking among my people, this is what makes the enemy stronger. As sin prevails the enemy gains strength. My people are in danger. Trouble is ahead. If my people would only pray and believe. It is not hard. Is it too much to ask that my people would pray? Prayer is vital. The enemy seeks, he lives to kill, to steal, and to destroy. He hates me, all who love me and all whom I love. He is out to kill you, to devastate you, to destroy you. You must be prepared! You must always be ready with your armor always on. Do not be caught with your guard down. If you think you can continue on without prayer you are wrong. If you think you can continue strong without daily study in my word, you are wrong. If you think you can be victorious without daily fellowship with me, you are wrong! The enemy is ready. He is watching and waiting. His purpose is set. He is out to destroy you and your family. Not just your personal family, but look around you – he is out to destroy your family! You must unite together in prayer. Pray for one another daily. A united front will stop the enemy. He cannot prevail against a church united together in prayer.

Oh, my children, PRAY! Pray daily. Fellowship together in prayer. Unite in prayer. Lift one another up , build one another up in the faith. Build yourself up. Stir up the faith that is within you. This is vital! I love you, my children, I desire good things for you, but the choice is yours. When you do not pray, when you do not study, when you do not fellowship with me, you become weak in faith. That is when the enemy, who is watching and waiting, will attack. Do not blame me when the enemy prevails. I am always here waiting and desiring to intercede and to be strong on your behalf, but your lack of prayer and lack of faith stops me from moving on your behalf.  Do not blame me, blame yourself! Have I not told you? Have I not warned you? Do you not listen? Are my words not important to you? Do you hear them and then walk away and forget them? What do my words mean to you? Are you so spoiled that my words have lost all meaning, all power and all authority to you? Am I boring you?

Grow up, my children! Put all pettiness aside. Look around. See the times. My heart grieves for my children. You think all is well, you think you are OK with me and with your life. Yet so many of you are lost and you don’t even know it. Many of you are on the brink of disaster, disaster that could be avoided through prayer and belief and through daily fellowship with me. Ask me and I will show you. Listen and I will speak to you. I am not a Father who is far off. I am right here waiting for you. Waiting for your fellowship, waiting to teach you and reveal to you things you need to know! My spirit grieves within me, for many of you will not listen, you will not hear me, and you will suffer needlessly. Oh how I hurt for my children. How I hurt! If only my children would listen! If only they would take action! If only they weren’t so busy with needless activities and meaningless chores. Where do I fit in? When will you take my words seriously? When will I be your priority?

You think there is no accountability. You think there are no consequences. You are wrong! You are wrong, my children, you are wrong! You will be held accountable one day for your lack of prayer and your lack of faith. You will be held accountable for your brothers and sisters sufferings. And you will be held accountable for your own suffering. The way to avoid this is through daily prayer, study, fellowship and obedience. Daily. Daily. Daily!

Encourage yourself and those around you. Unite my children, unite. I love you, my children and I am here, waiting.

The Value of God’s Word

And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.  1 Samuel 3:1

For years since my mother went to be with the Lord in 1990, I have asked people if they knew where her bible was, but no one seemed to know. However, two days ago I asked the right person and yesterday I had this treasure in my hands. This beautiful, precious treasure. Today as I was doing my bible reading I decided to use her bible. It is the Thompson Chain-Reference King James Version Bible given to her by my father in 1985. In the front of the bible is a picture of her first grandson, Sean, taped to the pages. As I gently leafed through this treasure I took the time to read all her personal notes and thoughts on the scriptures. I also paid close attention to the highlighted passages. As I was turning the pages I noticed she had 1 Samuel Chapter 3 verses 1-13 highlighted, so I started reading. But I could not get past this first verse. I had read the book of Samuel before but I never noticed something that was just standing out to me in this particular verse….And the word of the Lord was precious in those days… The word of the Lord was PRECIOUS in those days. My version of the Bible is the New International Version, so I  looked up what the NIV version said in that scripture verse and it says…In those days the word of the Lord was rare… No wonder I overlooked it. I had been taught that the Lord had been silent for a while at times in the Old Testament so there was nothing in that verse that would stand out to me while reading it from the NIV bible.I knew his word was rare to hear in that day, but the word, “precious”  stood out to me as well as “in those days”. In “those” days. What about in “these” days?  As disturbing as that phrase was to me, it was also pretty self-explanatory.  So I looked  up the word “precious” in the Strong’s to see what the original meaning of the word was and why the KJV used precious while the NIV used rare. This is what I found:

The original Hebrew word is Yaqar and it is an adjective.  Different meanings are; valuable, prized, weighty, precious, rare, splendid, costly, highly valued, precious stones or jewels, glorious, influential.

The Lexicon said it is the same word used in Ps. 116:15 “how precious is thy loving kindness, O God! It also said see the verb. So I went to the root word which is the same word, Yaqar, but is a verb and it means: to esteem, be prized, be precious, be costly, be appraised, be highly valued, to make something precious.

Wow! God’s word was precious, prized, weighty, splendid, highly valued, glorious, influential, and as rare precious jewels…in those days.

As I meditated on this scripture and the meaning I thought how awesome for them, but how sad and grievous for us. For I do not believe that we treat God’s word as they did…in those days. At least  not here in America. Oh how very spoiled we truly are! How many bibles are in my home? I do not know because I never took the time to count them all. But the fact that I have so many that I need to count says a lot about how spoiled I am, along with many other Americans and most definitely the church in America. And then there are the on-line bibles so readily available through internet sites such as my favorite, Blue Letter Bible.

So as I continued to ponder this I began to wonder; Has God’s word lost most of it’s value to us? Has it lost its splendidness? Has it lost its influence in our and lives in our country? Do we value His words in these days  like a rare precious stone? Are his words still weighty to us?

Yes, I am most certainly speaking of God’s written word, the Bible, the book that sits on our shelves or on our end-tables often covered with dust. But I am also referencing his spoken words. The words he speaks through his servants. Do we reverence the words he gives to us through our Pastors? Our Evangelists? Our Prophets? Do we even know any Prophets? Where are they? And what about the words he speaks to us through his servants at church? Words given to us through tongues and interpretation of tongues? Words of knowledge and words of wisdom that he gives to us through others and speaks to us personally? Do we hold these words as precious and valuable to us? Or do we take these words, tuck them in our pockets and then forget about them?  Do we hear the words spoken and say, “good word” and then think of it no more as we go about our busy daily lives, treating his word as something much, much less than precious?  Oh, how spoiled we have become! I marvel at God’s great love and patience towards us and often wonder why he keeps speaking when it seems no one is listening.

It is easy to see how God’s word has lost its value to us, to this generation. It is not something we had to work for, it is not something we had to struggle to receive, or work hard to earn. His Word, written and spoken, has always been there for us.  What is it that makes a rare and precious stone prized and valuable? The fact that it is rare. And if we actually owned a jewel so rare and so valuable, how would we would treat it? I believe we would most certainly get it appraised. And after the appraiser carefully examines it and tells us it’s worth we would hold it as something even more valuable because of knowing its great worth. Then we would most likely adorn the jewel by surrounding it with gold and other precious jewels that would make this particular jewel look even better, if possible. Then we would proudly wear it and display it for all to see. We’d carefully put it on each morning and carefully remove it each evening ,then tuck it away someplace safe until we awake again blessed to have another day where we could admire its’ beauty and share its’ splendidness with whomever we would come in contact with that day. How foolish it would be if we owned a precious and rare jewel and kept it buried in a “safe place” or even displayed in a “nice place” while living a life of poverty and watching our children and loved ones die of sickness, starvation, and disease with no hope for a future. How foolish that would be!

Do we treat God’s word as something rare and valuable? Or are we being foolish with it? Do we carefully examine it in order to know it’s true worth? Do we admire the beauty, the weightiness, and influence of God’s words? Do we surround God’s Word with other writers of God inspired books written by authors who have studied His word so that we can appreciate and understand the value of God’s word even more?  Do we desire to share His word with all we meet each and every day so that they too can admire His beauty?  Or do we keep His Word neat and clean on a shelf or a stand simply to look at and to admire externally as we pass by it each day? Or, even worse, do we keep His Word buried and hidden inside, not sharing our faith with others for fear of what they would think or say while people all around us are dying?

In today’s world, at least here in America, God’s word is easily accessible and therefore easy to take advantage of. It is easy to discard, brush off and put aside until later when we find the time for it or feel we really need it. Yes, God’s word has lost its’ value in the eyes of many of us who dare to call ourselves “Christian”.

Recently I watched a video of people in another country, I believe it was China, receiving Bibles in their underground Church. As they opened the boxes the excitement shined in the expressions on their faces. They were so excited! When the box was actually opened up and the Bibles handed to them, they held their bible and drew it close to them with tears streaming down their faces. They clung to their Bibles as if they were the most precious and valuable item in the entire world to them. Some even fell to their knees weeping with tears of love appreciation for such a great treasure. When was the last time we cherished God’s word like that?

It is up to us to make God’s word the most valuable possession we have here on this earth. It is up to each of us individually to appraise its value as we dig deeper into God’s word and learn of all its rich and hidden truths. It is up to us to treat God’s word  as rare, precious, glorious, prized and highly valued. We are a very spoiled generation and we do not truly understand the cost of something that has cost us almost nothing. We are enjoying the inheritance of those who have gone before us and are behaving like spoiled rich kids living under their daddy’s inheritance.

If we do not take the time to appraise the value of God’s word in our lives, no matter what form it comes in, written or spoken, we will suffer. We will lose. Then we will wonder why and we will wonder what happened while the answer was laying, literally, right before us.

God’s Word IS precious. God’s Word IS valuable and God’s Word IS splendid and God’s Word IS glorious. God’s Word, written or spoken, is life!! Let us gaze into its beauty daily and grab hold of all  His precious promises and adorn ourselves daily with His words. Let us treat his words as rare and precious and proudly display the beauty of His words in and through our lives for all to see and marvel in. Let’s stop being spoiled and understand and cherish the value and the power and the influence of Gods very precious words in these days!

Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Proverbs 8:11

…“Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.” Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. People are dying. Everywhere, people are dying. I am losing them one by one. As the church goes about their day doing the things that they do, people are dying. My soul is grieved beyond comfort as the people are dying.  My people come to church, they lift their hands in praise and worship to me after having lived their weekly life as they choose. They go about their days oblivious to the world around them. Every day they pass by people who are bound for hell for all eternity and they never say a word. They never give them hope. They are filled with power, yet powerless. Like a car full of gas with no key. Powerless. When will my people wake up to all that they are and all that they are called to be? When will they walk in all that I have for them and for this dying world? I look around, I see the pain, I hear the cries, I feel the suffering. I see it all and in the midst of all the pain, suffering, and death I see my children walking around with blinded eyes and a smile on their face because their little corner of the world is ok. They have their home, they have their food, they have their clothing, they have their family, they have their bible, they have their Sunday school, they have their faithful preacher, yes, all is good to them. But that is not what I see. All is not good! Death is everywhere! I am coming soon and even though this is a day my children are looking forward to with great anticipation, it is a horrible day. For many will be lost forever. My children wonder why I tarry. Why am I taking so long to return? Oh, just look around! Take the blinders off! People are dying! They are lost! And the ones with the answers remain silent. Caught up in their own little worlds. I hear my people say, “What can I do?” Reach out! Reach out! Take a chance! Will you meet rejection and persecution? Yes, at times, but aren’t souls worth it?  Oh, stop tearing one another down! Stop with the petty grievances. Grow up! The enemy is playing with you! You are his pet toys as he causes diffractions among you and then stands back and watches you walk  into the waves he creates and then laughs at his success. Oh, if my people would just wake up and live the life they should be living. If they would just walk in the plans that I created for them even before they were born. If they would read my word and understand my word and walk in my word. All my promises are good! So good! Yet most leave them laying on a shelf, pretty to look at, but powerless to change. Like a man dying of thirst who places the pitcher of water on the shelf and admires the crystal the life-saving water is contained in, so is my word in the hands of my people.

Oh, my children, you are meant to be so much more than what you are! Your lives are so busy, and yet so empty. Void of many of the things that truly matter. Eternal things. The enemy has you blinded! You are so busy with temporary things that bring temporary satisfaction. The things eternal are lost at your feet.  If you would gather together and lift one another up, encourage each other to do good works, bind together as one, walk in my promises as you apply them to your life, then your eyes would be opened and you would see.   You would truly know and understand that this world is full of hurting and dying people. People who will be lost forever. Yes, you have a wonderful home to come to in the course of time. A beautiful home prepared for my children who love me, obey me, and serve me. But what about the others? Their eternal home is one of pain, suffering, and torment to such a degree that you cannot even imagine. Why do you not care? Don’t tell me you care when you pass these people by each day! Every opportunity you have to do good, you should be doing! But, you are too busy. You don’t have time to even pass on a smile or a hello. You don’t have time to have a conversation with the person stuck in line next to you, you don’t have time for the cashier, the food attendant, the doctor, the nurse, the neighbor, and so many other people you come in contact with as you go about your busy days. And for so many, even if you did have time, you still wouldn’t speak. For you have been torn down and broken not just by people outside the church, but mostly by those within the church. You are discouraged because the encouragers remain silent. Fear, like a snake, slithers among you down at your feet and affects your walk. So many times I say do not fear, yet, you fear. You allow fear to control your actions and put a halt to opportunities. But I have not given you this spirit of fear, so why do you so readily receive it and place it over and above all my promises? Why? I have placed you so far above all these things and that defeated enemy should remain under your feet. He should not be slithering around your feet! Why do you allow the enemy access when I have defeated him and handed the victory of that defeat over to you!

Oh, my children, my children, I love you! I see your chains, I see your thorns, I see your walls. You are captives that have been set free. You are captives by your own choosing. Turn aside from your captivity, look into my word and my promises. My promises are good! They are alive and active! They are available for you! They are treasures that are of more value to you than any earthly treasure you will ever find! Turn aside and look!

I am waiting and I am watching. I long to see you walk in all that I have for you. And everything I have is yours! I love you, my dear children. I love you!

Love

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35, 37-39 KJV)

Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. (Psalms 42:8 KJV)

He that hath my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21 KJV)

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Proverbs 8:17)

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. (John 15: 9-12 NIV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. (Ps. 37: 4-6 NIV)

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,fn we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:1,2)

Fear

I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 42: 9-13 NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Phil. 4: 6-9 NIV)

In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you. If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you. (Isaiah: 54: 14-15)

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.  (Isaiah: 54: 17)

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deut. 31:8)

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Ps. 34:17

Removing the Thorns

In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. (Hebrews 12:4 NIV)

This is the scripture that the Lord gave me before a long, intense road that the Lord and I traveled together as the Lord began to heal the wounds of my past.

It happened one morning as I awoke; I opened up my Bible to this particular scripture verse in Hebrews. I read it, and re-read it. The words jumped off the page at me. I knew the Lord was trying to tell me something, but I had no idea what it was. I just did not understand this scripture verse. My husband and I had some very precious friends visiting us at the time. The lady was one of my most treasured friends and prayer partner’s. Her and I would stay up until 3 or 4 am holding hands and praying together. And God never failed to show up! These were amazing times! We were living in Germany at the time and she and her husband were visiting us from Italy. I got out of bed and they were already up so I went to her and asked her if she understood this scripture verse. She said no. So we went and asked her husband. He said no. My husband was at work so I could not ask him. So the three of us prayed and we asked the Lord for the interpretation of this verse and what He was trying to speak through it. Then the Lord opened up our understanding and revealed to us the meaning of this scripture verse and how it would apply to me for this particular season in my life that the Lord wanted to take me through.  These are not God’s words verbatim, for I did not write down the words, but I remember the lesson well:

He showed me that along the path of life there are thorns that wound us. Thorns that get into our heart and into our feet. These thorns come from different things and different people that come into our paths. Thorns of rejection, thorns of discouragement, thorns from abuse, thorns from negative words spoken to us, and the list goes on. These thorns pierce our heart and our feet. Affecting our thought process and affecting our walk, affecting our relationship with people and most importantly our relationship with God. They affect our emotional growth, our social growth and our spiritual growth and walk. Many of these thorns are deep, have inflicted much pain, and have been there for years. Some are even covered over so well that even the bearer of the thorns hardly knows they are there. God was showing me that he wanted to remove these thorns so that healing could take place. But in order to do so there would be a shedding of blood that would cause much pain. Think about it…if you had a large thorn in your body that had been there for years and was covered over by skin, to remove it would hurt and cause a shedding of blood, especially the deep ones. Oh, but God understands thorns! For he had a crown of very large and deeply painful thorns pierced into his head. God’s goal, he was showing me, was to remove the thorns and to heal my wounds.  And though there may be some scars afterwards, how awesome that would be! For what is a scar but an opportunity to testify? If a person has a visible scar on his or her body, people will ask how them they got that scar. So these scars, become our testimonies and through these testimonies we can help others, for God’s word teaches in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that there is nothing new under the sun, and 1 Peter 5:9 teaches that our brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings, and in Joshua 1 he tells us that after we receive our rest, we are to help our brothers and sisters until the Lord gives them rest as he has done for you until they too have taken possession of the land that the Lord has given them.

My Father asked me if I was willing to take this journey with Him. And I said yes. To understand this journey, I must travel back in my past where the thorns first took place. I am not sharing these times to get anyone’s sympathy for surely there are many people out there whose journey has been so much more difficult than mine! To some, mine will seem like a cake walk.  But, I do not believe that anyone out there has lived the most perfect of lives. We all are on this journey and we all have had crosses we had to bear. We all have a testimony that can help someone else. This is just my story, my life, my testimonies. I desire to share so that I can praise the Lord and give Him the glory for all that he has done in me and for me! And to show others that what he did for me was no exception meant only for me. What he did for me, he desires to do for all his children! Every single one of them! Oh, to lay our burdens at the feet of the savior and to walk away in freedom, with hands lifted in total abandonment, dancing, and singing his praises! Oh, to help set my sisters and brothers free so they can sing and dance, too! This is my heart! So I share my past with joy in my heart for the One and only One who has always been there for me, has always loved me, has never rejected me, and has never, ever forsaken me and never will! My Lord, my God, my Savior, my Lover, my Friend, my King, my Everything! Oh, how I love my God!

Who am I?

I am a branch of the true vine, a channel of His life (John 15: 1,5).

I am the salt of the earth ( Matthew 5:13).

I am the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).

I am chosen by God (John 15:16).

I have been set apart (Jeremiah 1:5)

I have been appointed to bear fruit (John 15:16).

I am Christ’s personal witness (Acts 1:8).

I am a minister of reconciliation for God (2 Corinthians 5:17,18)

I am God’s temple (1 Corinthians 3:16).

I am God’s co-worker (1 Corinthians 3:9; 2 Corinthians 6:1).

I am a saint (Ephesians 1:1).

I have been raised up and seated with Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

I am God’s workmanship (Ephesians 2:10).

I am a citizen of heaven (Ephesians 2:6; Philippians 3:20).

I am Christ’s friend (John 15:15).

I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17).

I have been justified (Romans 5:1).

I have been bought with a price; I belong to God (1 Corinthians 6:20).

I have been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I am of God’s household (Ephesians 2:19).

I have been adopted as God’s Child (Ephesians 1:5).

I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18).

I may approach God with boldness and confidence (Ephesians 3:12).

I am a fellow citizen with the rest of the saints (Ephesians 2:19).

I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins (Colossians 1:14).

I am assured that all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).

I cannot be separated from the love of God (Romans 8:35).

I am free forever from condemnation (Romans 8:1).

I am free from any condemning charges against me (Romans 8:33).

I have been established, anointed, and sealed by God (2 Corinthians 1:21,22).

I have been given the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing my inheritance to come (Ephesians 1:13,14)

I have been delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of Christ (Col. 1:13).

I am hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).

I am confident that the good work that God began in me will be perfected (Philippians 1:6).

I know  God’s voice, and the voice of a stranger I will not follow.  ( John 10: 2-5)

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

I can find grace and mercy in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

I am more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).

Prayer of Thanks and Declaration

Thank you Lord that you hear my voice and I can call on you as long as I live. Thank you that you turn your ear to me and you hear my cry of mercy. You, Lord, are gracious and righteous; you are full of compassion and mercy. I thank you that when I was in great need, you saved me. I thank you that though I may walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes and with your right hand you save me. You protect me and you guard my life because I trust in You. I am yours.

Father, I love you with all my heart, and all my soul, and all my mind. I submit myself to you and those you have placed in authority over me. And I love my neighbor, even the unlovely, as myself. I do not repay evil for evil but am careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. I have sought out your precepts and have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you. I love how the unfolding of your words gives light and understanding to me. For your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. How I hunger after your teaching, your instruction and your direction! I meditate on it all day long. How sweet are your words to me! Since I gain understanding from your precepts, I hate every wrong path. Because I obey your Word and your commands they make me wiser than my enemies, give me more insight and understanding than my teachers and elders, and keep my feet from every evil path. Father, make your face shine upon me, your servant, and teach me your decrees. For I love your law and my heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end. They are the joy of my heart and are my heritage forever. I will never be put to shame for I have placed my trust in you.

I thank you that I can approach your throne of grace with confidence and receive mercy and grace in my time of need. For I stand cover by the blood of Jesus who died for me and became an atonement of sin for me. Therefore, I stand before you clothed with a garment of salvation and arrayed in a robe of righteousness by the blood of your precious Son, Jesus.

Father, I cast down all pride and I clothe myself with a spirit of humbleness. For you, Lord, will not share yo7ur glory with another. Therefore, I stand before you a humble servant. Your Word says that you crown the humble with salvation and dwell with those who have a contrite and humble spirit. And you have promised to save, guide, teach, prosper, and give grace to the humble. So, I thank you Lord that your word dwells with me richly and all these promises are mine. O Lord, set a guard over my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips. Let my heart not be drawn to what is evil. Lord, I daily set myself apart to be holy as your Word says. And I will set no vile thing before my eyes. Now Lord, search me and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts, see if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. For you, Lord, are my God. You are my Refuge and my Shield. I have put my hope in your Word. My eyes are fixed on you, Lord. You are my refuge and my hiding place. Hear my voice when I call and come quickly to me. May my prayers be set before you like incense. May the lifting of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Thank you Lord, that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in love. Thank you that you fulfill your purpose for me and will not abandon the works of your hands. Thank you, Father that you make all grace abound to me so that in all things at all times, I have all that I need and I abound in every good work. Thank you that your love endures forever!

I will praise you and extol you! I will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might! Thank you, Lord that you are faithful to all your promises and all your promises are, “Yes!” in Christ. And I say, “Amen!” to the glory of you, my God, who makes me stand firm in Christ. You have anointed me and set your seal of ownership on me and your Spirit in my heart as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Hallelujah! To you, God, be all the glory and honor, now and forever. AMEN!

Walk away, my children, from the chains that bind you. The chains that stop you from worshipping me. The chains that stop you from dancing before me, the chains that stop you from obeying me, the chains that stop you from praising my name. The chains that keep you in your states of complacency, fear, rituals, self-centeredness, condemnation, and sin. Break off the chains! My son came and died to set you free! He suffered greatly for your freedom, so why do you choose to walk in chains? Be free my people, be free! For whom my son has set free is free indeed!

If you desire to walk in all that I have for you then you must be willing to take steps of faith. No step is too small. Step out! Walk with me in the arena of faith and with each step of faith you take, freedom comes closer to you. For the enemy cannot defeat a child of mine who walks in faith and trust in me. As you step out in faith remember love. For without love your faith will fail. Love is the fuel that activates faith. They must always walk together. Gather near my children. Learn my ways. Look at my Son. Follow Him. For He has prepared the path before you. Take hold of His hand and step out of the boat. He will not fail you! He will not let you drown!

If you are in chains this is what you have allowed and this is what you have chosen. You are a prisoner by choice. For the enemy has been defeated and you have been set free. It is a finished work. Don’t walk around blind and deceived. Walk away from the chains. Those who choose to remain in chains find comfort there. It is their stronghold and they like it. Like an old man who never leaves his home and the comfort he has found there, so are my children who remain in their chains. It is not that you can’t be set free. It is that you won’t. You like your chains. They have become a part of you.

Wake up! You have been set free! And these chains you choose to remain in will keep you from living the victorious life I planned for you. Your chains are the enemy wrapped around you. His venom and his thorns are keeping you bound. Learn my promises by studying my Word. They are life to you! Wake up my children, wake up and be set free!

Hear me my people, hear me! For I am not a God who is far from you, I am the God who is within you. Hear me! Come closer into my throne room, draw nearer into my presence. Draw strength from the grace I pour out on you. The time is drawing nearer, the dividing line is at hand and many are not ready. Oh how I call out for my people, ‘Draw nearer! Draw nearer!’ but they do not listen, they do not hear, they do not come. They are so entangled with the world and all that is in it that they cannot see the warning signs that are all around them. The trumpet is about to sound, but first such tribulation and persecution like the world has never seen. Oh, it’s coming, it’s coming my people! Prepare yourselves! Arm yourselves for battle! The time is drawing near. The enemy is getting stronger. My people, if you don’t heed my word you will be lost. Oh, how you will suffer! You must know my promises, you must listen for my voice, you must draw close to me. For I am your ever present help in time of need. Acknowledge me! Draw close to me! I long for you, my people. I long to reach out and help you but you don’t listen. You don’t heed the warning. You go about your days as if nothing is changing. Change is happening! Change is here and its purpose is to destroy you. Now come my people, gather close to me for I long to cover you with my wings of protection. I long to comfort you and keep you safe as a mother protects her children and a father his household. But you must call on me. You must learn to live by my spirit and not your flesh. The time is drawing nearer, the curtain is about to close, the dividing line is at hand. Which side will you be found on? Do not be caught in the night like the virgins with no oil. For I am coming for a bride who is spotless and ready. And the time is drawing near. Will you be ready? Search my word, seek after wisdom. For you are like lost sheep who have gone astray, but wisdom will guide you safely home again. Oh hear me people, the time is drawing near. Will you be ready? Will you?

Be still before me. Be quiet and listen for my voice and for my spirit to guide you and direct you. I will give you grace and strength to endure the days ahead. Now is the time to prepare. Learn to follow my voice. Know my ways. My word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path, but you must know the word that lights your path and apply it to your life. Otherwise, you are like a lamp without oil in a dark and dying world and you will be lost in that darkness. I call out for you, my children, I call out for you! Draw nearer, draw nearer. For the time is short and I love you so much, my dear children! I love you so much.

Prayer for the Wife

Lord make me a wife of noble character. Let my husband have full confidence in me and may he lack nothing of value. May I bring him good all the days of my life. Lord, help me never to neglect my present duties by assuming other duties. Help me to plant fruitful vines in my vineyard. Lord, I gird myself with spiritual and physical strength and fitness for my God given tasks. My arms are strong and firm; I taste and see that my gain from work with and for God is good. My lamp burns continuously through the night of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt, and distrust. Lord, help me always to reach out with opened and filled hands to the poor and needy, whether in body, mind, or spirit. May my family be doubly clothed in scarlet and the coverings I make for myself be of fine linen and purple. Let my husband be known in the city’s gates as he sits among the elders in the land. Lord, help me to lead others to purchase the fine linen and the sashes that frees one up for service. Let strength and dignity be my clothing and make my position strong and secure. Lord, I will rejoice over the future knowing that I and my family are ready for it. When I open my mouth skillful and godly wisdom is on my tongue with the law of kindness that gives counsel and instruction. Father, with your help, I look well to how things go in my household. I will not eat the bread of idleness, gossip, discontent, or self-pity. My children rise up and call me blessed, happy, fortunate, and to be envied. My husband boasts of and praises me, saying that I excel above all women. I am a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord. I shall see the reward of my labor.

Am I truly worthy, my children? Am I worthy of your praise, your adoration, your time? What does it mean to you to lift up holy hands before me? Is it an honor to worship me? Is it a blessing? For who? Why do you worship me? What do you worship me for? These are things to ponder in your heart. I want you, my children, to know me. But you must know and examine your own heart and motives.

If you will purify your hearts and your thoughts you will be able to draw closer to me. You will begin to truly know me when you clean out your camp, for your camp must be holy because I am holy and I will not accept unclean offerings.

Is a king not worthy of praise? How much more a good king? Yes, I am good. I am holy. And I am worthy of your praise and adoration.

If only you could grasp how much I love you! If only you could grasp it, my people, you would be forever changed! If you could see my Word as a love story written only for you, then you would hunger and thirst for more. You would trust me and obey me. You would yearn to walk in all I have for you! Oh, if you could only grasp how much I love you!

Do not hold back, draw nearer! Come forth boldly into my presence. Come closer into my throne room. Come fellowship with me, my children. Oh how I love you and how I long for more of you! Draw nearer. Do not hold back!

I have so much stored up for you in my storehouses. I hear and receive your prayers. I know all your needs and all your desires. I long to pour out my blessings upon you. Come closer. Draw nearer. Love me more. I truly love you, my children.

I AM! I AM! I Am God, I am King, I am, Lord! I AM! Who are you, my children, who are you? Do you know who you are? Do you have a true understanding of who you really are? You are the children of the great I AM! You are my children! You have been saved and sanctified by the blood of my precious and only begotten Son. His blood poured out for you, my children, a holy and acceptable sacrifice for you! You have been saved, sanctified and set apart for me. You are my children! My sons and my daughters! It is you whom I desire to call my friends.

I stand before you and rise in the presence of your praises. I stand before you the great I AM! You are to come boldly before me in my throne room. Do not stand far off. It is when you come close to my presence that you can clearly see who I am and who I am meant to be in your life. You say you love me, but do you fear me? Do you reverence me? Do you fear me enough to live your life according to my word and not according to your own selfish desires? Do you fear me enough to put aside those things that you know are detestable to me, yet you continue to do them anyway? Do you reverence me enough to bow down before me and submit to my ways and not your own ways? Oh my dear children, you do not! If you cannot even enter this church, focus on me and put me first, how do you expect to focus on me and put me first throughout your week? Your thoughts are far from me! Your focus is on what’s happening later. Your focus is on your next text. And when talking to the people around you is more important than focusing on me and my word, you do not reverence me. Do not be deceived! I see you, I hear you, I know you! Your thoughts and your hearts are far from me. Church is no more than a tradition to many of you. Do you hear me? Are you listening? What is distracting you? Get rid of it! Remove it from my presence! Do not think you can enter into my courts in your own way, with your own set of rules. It is not acceptable to me! It is an abomination to me and I will not receive your praise when you approach me on your terms! I must be first! I must be your focus when you enter into this place of worship. I desire holiness. I desire humbleness and submissiveness. I desire hearts that truly seek after me. You who are distracted are also a distraction! You grieve my Holy Spirit with your arrogant, self-centered presence! I would rather you stay home and do as you please there then to bring your self-serving ways here. When you enter this place set self aside. Bring the sacrifice of praise back into my presence again. Raise up holy hands with a willing heart. Bow before me as you crucify your flesh. Prepare yourself before you enter this place. Determine within yourself to worship me. Your worship doesn’t change me, but it does move me. I inhabit your praises, my children, yes, I dwell in them! And when your praises turn into true worship, then my glory will fall. I am not talking about a feeling of worship, NO! I am talking about true worship that comes from hearts that love me and fear me. Worship that starts before you enter this building and continues long after you have left. When you truly worship me, you will truly find me and my glory will be revealed in your midst.

My people! I desire to reveal myself to you. As a father desires to reveal himself to his son and a mother to her daughter, I desire to reveal myself to you! You are my children! I love you but I desire more of you. So much more! It is time. It is time to examine yourselves, your lives, your motives, your intentions, your desires. Where do I fit in? Examine yourself. I desire your all. Are you willing to give me your all? If I wake you up in the middle of the night will you hear me? Will you awaken and follow me? If I disturb you in the middle of your favorite TV show will you get up and follow me? If I call out to you as you are on your way out to visit a friend will you stop and follow me? Will you obey me? Am I worth the sacrifice? If you hear me say, “NO!” when your flesh desires what is wrong will you walk away from that fleshly desire and honor me? Where, my child, do I fit in? The world needs the church, but the church needs me first! When the church wakes up and realizes where it’s truly at, when the church humbles itself before me, when my people repent from their willful sins and they bow down before me, when my people pray and lift up holy hands in worship before me, then I will show you my glory and then my church will take my glory to this hurt and dying world where I will show myself strong in the midst of the darkness as my light shines out through you – my children! I am watching and I am waiting.

Arise and shine my church, arise and shine! For you truly are the light of this world and if this world is growing darker, it is because it started first with the church. It is time to let your light shine once again. What makes your light shine is my glory. And my glory will only come to the church that has prepared itself to receive. What have you done, what are you doing to prepare yourself for the coming out-pouring of my glory? Examine yourselves. Prepare yourselves. Study my word and pray or you will miss out and so will the world around you and I will hold you accountable! Prepare yourselves. Arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is upon you!

Wake up my people! Wake up, wake up, wake up! The time is drawing near. Time for renewal and revival like never before seen in this generation. Wake up and be a part of what I am about to do before you! I desire that you hunger and thirst after me, but your hunger and thirst tends to go after the things of this world. To hunger and thirst for me requires that you spend time with me. Get to know me. Sunday morning church is not enough. Daily you need me. Daily drink of me. Daily come into my presence. Daily! Do not think that you will live the victorious life I have for you when you treat my word as a weekly snack. My word must fill you to overflowing. Stop wasting the time I have allotted you here on this earth, for it will never be returned to you. Now is the time!

Wake up! Wake up! Wake up, I say! Time is drawing near. I desire to do great and mighty works among you, but your hunger does not match my desire. When will you care enough to put the things aside that consume your time and your energy and give that time and energy to me? People are dying! Do not believe that you will be held guiltless when you have the keys to their freedom and deliverance held tightly in your hands yet you refuse to do anything about it. The enemy has blinded you and you have allowed it! Wake up! Wake up my people, wake up! There is much turbulence on the horizon. Only my people who stand firm in my word and in their authority can calm it. Otherwise, you and many others will be destroyed unnecessarily. This will be to your guilt because you know the truth but refuse to live it. Many people in foreign countries have seen more of my mighty works that you have and their resources are far less. Many don’t have access to my word as you have, yet their faith, love, and dedication to me is much greater than yours! Wake up! There is work to be done. Time is running out. The keys to understanding lie within the words of my book that are so readily available to you. Get wisdom.

The time for fasting is here. You must crucify the flesh and the desires within. Fasting weakens the flesh and when you are weak, I am strong. Wake up and get moving for time is running out and people everywhere need me. Look around. Do you see people? They need me.  People outside the walls of the church as well as the people within the walls of the church, need me! When you bind together as one, when you put aside differences, pettiness, egos, and pride; when you esteem your brothers and sisters above yourselves and get rid of all gossip and idle talk. When your words lift up and edify others and come from pureness of hearts that truly love, then miracles will begin to happen. Lives will be transformed, people will be saved, and sickness and disease will flee. You want to see my glory? Start living for me and not self. Start living for others, and not just those within the circle of your trusted friends and family. Reach out! Get uncomfortable! Learn of me and trust in me. This requires much, much more than Sundays. Wake up, my people, wake up!

I am so in love with you. Are you in love with me? How often do you think of me? How often do you converse with me? How often do you come to me without any needs, but just to love on me? Are you in love with me? I am so in love with you. You are truly the apple of my eye and my thoughts are continually on you. I long for you and your fellowship. Daily I wait. Daily I wait. Daily, I wait. Do you really love me? I really love you.

God’s not done with me yet!

As I sat today after watching Beth Moore’s “Lesson with a hairbrush”, I cried, and cried. (You can view Beth’s short video clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtk5WgzZcYA)  Then I heard the Lord ask me, “Why are you crying?” I thought about it for a minute and I realized I was crying for a few reasons.

First, God is so sweet and so good. He cares even about the little things. He knows our hurts, our fears and every one of our desires. Even a desire as simple as wishing someone would brush our hair. God cares!!!

Second, and probably the biggest reason, I was crying because I was wondering would I have obeyed God as Beth did? Would God have been able to trust me enough to even ask me? Do I have a heart that listens to and obeys God in spite of insecurities, fears and even personal embarrassment? Am I willing to listen to Him and obey Him no matter what He asks me to do? There is a song that I absolutely love, one of my all-time favorite songs to the Lord. It’s titled “I Simply Live for You” by Hillsong (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSIwNdGsthY ). That song came to my spirit when I was wondering these things and I felt the Lord asking me, “Do you”?” Do you simply live for me? And so I wondered, “do I simply live for Him”? Or is my life spent living for self and for family. Where does God really fit in? Do I simply live for Him? If I am completely honest with my God and myself I would have to say no, I do not. I very much want to but I tend to allow life’s distractions to draw me away from Him. Life is full of opportunities for distractions: Home, work, friendships, family, hobbies, TV, computer, phone, games, etc.. These  can all prove be distractions and deterrents in our relationship and time with the Lord. Although none of these things are bad in and of themselves, if we are not careful we can so easily allow our priorities to get out of order. Often it just sneaks up on us a little at a time.

I remember the time when God was truly first in my life. He was the first one I thought of when I woke up and the last one I thought of when I was falling asleep. I couldn’t wait for every new morning to come, for that is when we would have sweet fellowship. Just Him and I, alone for hours each morning. I could not get enough of Him or His word – I had such an unquenchable hunger for Him! Where did that go? What happened that changed that? I’m not sure exactly where or when it started, but my priorities got out of order. I so desire to put Him first again! Yet it has been such a struggle. The Lord told me once as I was struggling with this, “Putting God first in your life is not easy. It is a commitment that turns into a desire and becomes a passion!” Commitment. It starts with commitment. This is something ‘I’ must determine to do. God will not make me. God has given each of us the freedom of choice. The choices that we make greatly impact the paths of our lives. Daily we need to pray for the wisdom to make the choices that God would have us to make.

Third, I was crying because I know that I have let fear take me from my God. I know that God can ask us to do some crazy things because he has and so I have feared that and have run from him. I use to think that obedience to God, the God that I have placed all my trust in, would be so easy. Boy was I wrong!  I have believed with all my heart that I trust God completely, but now I find myself wondering, “do I”? If I really do, then what am I afraid of? Two things actually, self and others. I need to count the cost and ask myself, “Am I willing to humble myself and even embarrass myself for my God? Am I willing to let go of the fear of man and the rejection of man and do all God has called me to do or will call me to do?” The answer is, “YES! Yes, God, yes!” God, give me the boldness and grace to do whatever you call me to do! Fear of the unknown can be paralyzing. And that is what has held me back. Yet God has told me through his word that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) And when I am weak, He is strong! (2 Corinthians 12:10). I want to be able to sing that song to God, “I Simply Live for You”, and mean it with all my heart.  And with God’s grace, I will, for I am still learning and still growing and  God is always willing to help because as long as I live I can promise you: God’s not done with me yet!

God, give me the grace to serve you, to honor you, to obey you, to put you first above myself and my dignity, to be so enamored by your love that nothing and no one can hold me back not even myself. Let fear truly be a thing of my past, not my present or my future. Give me the grace to walk in the authority you have given me through your son, Jesus. There is no way I will succeed on my own, Lord. I have proven this. I need your grace to fill me to overflowing so that I can live this abundant Spirit filled life you have given me. Show me the things to come so that I can commit unto you the works of your hands. Let me be a part of what you are doing in and on this earth and in the lives of others. Show me how to be a blessing and help me to obey you. Guide me, Holy Spirit, lead me and counsel me. Rebuke me and chastise me when I do wrong and show me the right way. Lead me to the mountain of the Lord where He will teach me His ways so I may walk in His paths all the days of my life. Let my ending be so much better than my beginning and someday when I see You, Lord, face to face may You say to me, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matt. 25:21). Oh, God, let it be so! In Jesus name, Amen!

Do you know Jesus?

Do you know Jesus as your Lord and savior? I mean to you really KNOW him? Or do you just know about him? For years I knew all about Jesus. I grew up in a Catholic home and attended Catholic schools from elementary through high school. Yes, I knew all about Jesus. But I did not know him personally until I was 23 years old. That is when I invited Jesus into my life and asked Him to be my Lord and my savior. It was the most important and most wonderful decision I have ever made. I have never regretted it, not even once. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother and he is the love of my life. I hope you know Jesus personally because he loves you so very much and this is why you were created to know him and to fellowship with him. Just think; the King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, the creator of the entire universe, wants to have a relationship with you! How amazing is that! He invites you into his presence for fellowship! The One and only true God, the One who loves you no matter what and in spite of everything you are and anything you may have done, the One who will always love you; His arms are reaching out to you! Will you accept Him into your life? I encourage you to pray the prayer below and when you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you will be saved and you will enjoy sweet fellowship with your heavenly Father.

Father, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a savior. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he came to die so he could save those who are lost, including myself. And I believe that you, Father, raised Jesus from the dead and that He is now lives and is seated at your right hand so that I, too, can live with you throughout eternity. I ask you Father to forgive me of all my past sins. I invite Jesus into my heart and into my life. Jesus, be my Lord and my savior. Thank you for dying for me and receiving me into your kingdom! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen!

Hallelujah! Wasn’t that easy? Now all the angels in heaven are rejoicing because another child of God has come home! I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (Luke 15:7)  You should rejoice too because God has thrown all your sins as far away as the east is to the west, he hurls them into the depth of the sea, and he remembers them no more! Though your sins were as scarlet, you have been made as white as snow! It is a  new day! Rejoice!  as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (Ps. 103:12) You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:19) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

I encourage you to find a good Bible teaching church, read God’s word daily, spend time with him and pray everyday!

Road to Salvation

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Prayer against cancer and disease

Thank you, Father! Thank you that __________ is fearfully and wonderfully made! Your works are wonderful, Oh Lord! You know __________ well, his/her frame was not hidden from you when he/she was made in the secret place and woven together in the depths of the earth. How precious are your thoughts concerning __________, Oh God! How vast is the sum of them!

Father, slay the enemy!

Lord, search __________’s heart. Show him/her, Lord, if there is any unforgiveness that he/she is holding against anyone and if there is, Father, help __________ to forgive.

Rescue __________, Father, and protect him/her!

You, Father, are __________’s refuge, his/her portion in the land of the living. Hear my cry, Lord, for __________ is in desperate need. Rescue __________, Lord, from those who pursue him/her. Set him/her free from his/her prison that he/she may praise your name!

Praise you, Father! Praise your name, Lord Jesus!

I will shout it aloud! I will not hold back. I will raise my voice like a trumpet! I praise you, Lord for your promises! Thank you, Father, for your report that says, “__________ is healed!” __________ believes your report, Lord, and he/she receives it!!

Thank you, Father, that healing belongs to __________ – for he/she is Your child – a co-heir with Christ Jesus!

Thank you, Father, that just as You raised up the serpent in the desert to heal your people, You also raised up Jesus to heal all who look upon Him and call out his name – Jesus!

Thank you, Lord, that just as the blood upon the door-posts saved your people from certain death, so Jesus’ blood upon the cross and upon __________’s life has saved __________ from certain death! Thank you, Jesus, that by your stripes __________ is healed! __________ is healed!!

Whom the Son sets free is free indeed and __________ is free from the enemy’s hold on him/her and his/her life – __________ is free!

Father, I refute any word that has been spoken against __________, and your truth in his/her life. I cast down all vain imaginations and anything that exalts itself above the true knowledge of Jesus Christ in __________’s life.

Father, I release faith into __________’s life. Into __________’s thoughts, __________’s words, and into __________’s spirit. I thank you, Father, that __________ trusts in you. Because __________loves You, You rescue him/her and You protect him/her. Because __________ acknowledges your name and calls upon You, you answer him/her. You are with __________ in times of trouble, you deliver him/her and honor him/her. With long life you satisfy __________ and show him/her your salvation.

Father, Your word says that if anyone says to this mountain, “Go throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him” You said Lord, “Whatever we ask for in prayer, believe that we have received it, and it will be ours.”

Mountain of sickness – GO! In Jesus name, be removed!! Leave __________’s body now – in Jesus name!

Father, I thank you for __________’s healing. Deposit in __________the gift of faith so that he/she will receive the healing that belongs to him/her.

Satan, spirit of sickness, spirit of death, spirit of infirmity – I bind you from working in __________’s life and in __________’s body – GO! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord – __________ is healed! __________has been set free! Jesus conquered the enemy, made an open show of him and took the keys of death and Hades. Jesus took back man’s authority, stripped satan of any authority, and gave the authority back to man. Therefore, whatever I bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Because Jesus’ authority is mine! Jesus’ victory is mine!

You are bound, Satan! I command that you must leave __________’s body. You have no right there and no hold on him/her. __________ has the authority and he is taking back his land! __________ is free and __________ is healed! He/She receives it in Jesus name! I loose health and healing to all __________’s bones, inner parts, lymph nodes, organs and every part of __________’s body from the top of his/her head to the soles of his feet – __________ is healed! Sickness (call the sickness or disease out by name)– you are dead – you are gone – in Jesus name!!!

Thank you, Father, that no matter how many promises you have made – they are Yes in Christ Jesus, and I say AMEN – to the Glory of God!

Thank you Father, that __________ is healed. I remove the spirit of heaviness and place on __________a garment of praise! For You, Lord have rebuilt the ancient ruins and restored the places long devastated. You, Lord, have renewed the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. You, Lord, have healed __________  over 2000 years ago. And __________ receives that healing – In Jesus name. I stand firm in God’s Word and in His Promises and I will not be moved. In Jesus name – AMEN!

Listen Oh Daughter…

Listen oh daughter, consider and give ear. Forget your people and your father’s house. The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your Lord. (Psalm 45:10,11)

Oh, if women everywhere would engrave this word upon their hearts and truly understand their value and worth as seen through the Kings eyes and not the world’s eyes. For man looks upon the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. The inward beauty of every woman, that soft, gentle, loving nature implanted by God alone that is meant to be shared with the world around them is open to the eyes of our heavenly Father.

This world looks for perfection in physical beauty and judges a woman’s worth based on outward appearances, but God sees the inward beauty of each woman with all the imperfections and says that he is enthralled by your beauty!! Oh, for the King of all kings to be enthralled by your beauty! How wonderful, how marvelous, how freeing! Yet so many women are ensnared by worldly teachings, false advertisings, and hurtful, lying words spoken to them. Hurt by parents, teachers, leaders, family, friends, and strangers. They received all these lies into their spirits and they falsely judge themselves by all the lies surrounding them. Oh, if they would only realize that the root of all these lies come from the enemy of their souls and have infiltrated their minds and soiled their hearts until it has affected their entire being. The way they think, the things they say, the way they dress, the way they view themselves, and the way they respond to others around them. Their spirits have been crushed until they feel unworthy, unloved, uncared for even by those who do care and do love them. And they live their lives in pursuit of acceptance, looking for ways to make people see them and ultimately “love” them. But the more they try, the more they believe that the world and the people in it continue to reject them. Even when people who genuinely do love them attempt to fill their life, they are so blinded by the lies that they cannot see the truth. Often they will enter wrong relationships, settling for anyone who seems to care just a little bit. Even though their heart may scream warnings, their mind refutes them in search for love. They are just looking for someone, anyone to fill the empty gaps in their life. And their wrong thinking caused by all the lies that have blinded them leads them down roads of more destruction. The enemy is always looking for ways to completely destroy lives. A little destruction is never enough. His thirst to destroy is never satisfied.

Oh, for women everywhere to know true love! The love of the One who has adored us since he formed us in our mother’s womb! Then lovingly, as only a proud Father could, planned out every single day of our lives as He hoped we would live it. He has written us the longest love letter ever written and throughout it tells us how much he loves us and cares for us. How he is constantly with us and desires to teach us and guide us if only we would love and trust him! He tells us that we are the apple of his eye, and he has engraved us upon the palms of his hands. He fills us joy and gladness, thanksgiving and singing. He covers us with the shadow of his hand. He defends us and gives us beautiful garments of splendor and praise. He places on us a crown of beauty and gives us the oil of gladness. He willingly receives all our hurts, fears, anxieties, and troubles and tells us not to fear or carry our burdens but to allow him to take them. He gives us food for our hungry soul and water to quench our thirsty spirit. He guards us, watches over us, and keeps us hidden in him. He says, “No man shall snatch you out of my hand!” He makes us promises and never breaks them. He lavishes us with gifts and speaks words of love to our spirits. He listens to us and hears every word we say. He speaks to us in hopes that we will listen. He chose us. He chose us! He loves us so much that he died for us. We are his love. When will we learn to make him ours? Women of God rise up! Wake up! There is truth you must learn! But first, you must be willing to surrender all the lies you have willingly believed and cast them at the feet of Jesus. Then allow him to replace the lies with the truth. Listen… Listen. He will remove the thorns and heal the wounds. You have much to learn and he is a great and patient teacher. Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths. Come… Come…

Father, be with my sisters. Draw them to you, Lord.  Lead them to the still waters, to the quiet places where you dwell with each one of them. Help them to cast all the lies at your feet and learn to walk in your truth and love. Remove the hurts. Heal the wounds. Help them to willingly open every place in their hearts to you, Lord, the only one who loves us for everything we are. The good, the bad, the ugly, all the imperfections, help them to lay them completely before you open and vulnerable. And as they humble themselves before you, Lord, lift them up, Father, to new places in you. Lead them where only you can. Fill their hearts with joy and gladness. Give them a new song of praise to sing to you. Dance with them, laugh with them, rejoice over them. Draw them into your presence, Lord. For they have been made worthy by the blood of your Son, Jesus. They are worthy to be loved. Worthy to be loved by the King of kings and Lord of lords! In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for the Lost

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring ____________ before you now. I ask that the ministering angels will go and minister to ____________ who will inherit salvation. I ask that just as the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters and brought forth life, that the Holy Spirit will hover over ____________ and bring forth life. The born-again, incorruptible life by the Word of God which lives and abides forever as described in John 3 and 1 Peter 1:23.

I cast down pride, rebellion, imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. I take down all strongholds including thought patterns, opinions on religion, materialism and fear in ____________’s life. I bind satan from taking ____________ captive and I bind all wicked thoughts and lies that satan would try to place in ____________’s mind.

Father, I pray that the veil will be removed from before ____________’s eyes so he/she can see clearly the truths of Your Word. I ask that you impart divine revelation that will make the scriptures become spirit and life for ____________. And, Father, I pray that out of your great mercy that you will provide divine protection over ____________. Surround him/her with songs of deliverance. Place godly people in ____________’s pathway who will boldly speak forth Your Word to him/her. I apply the blood of Jesus all over ____________ from the top of his/her head to the soles of his/her feet. And I pray that the armor of God will be placed on ____________.

And now I declare as according to Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine ____________, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Now stand firm, take up your position, and see the deliverance of the Lord. For God has delivered you from the domain of darkness and transferred  you to the kingdom of His beloved Son, Jesus, as according to Colossians 1:13.

Father, I thank You for ____________’s deliverance. I pray now that ____________ will be taught by God’s Holy Spirit, Who is our counselor, teacher, and guide. I thank You, Father, that ____________ listens to You and obeys You and that ____________ is not only a hearer of the Word but is also a doer of the Word. Father, I thank You that all Your promises are yes in Christ Jesus and I say amen to the glory of God. I pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Name above all names, and by whose authority I come boldly before the throne and make my requests known. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer Against Divorce

Thank you, Father that you have instituted the covenant of marriage. Father, as Your Word says in Genesis, Matthew, Mark, and Ephesians that in the beginning of creation You made male and female, and for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate. And again in Malachi it is written, “Has not the Lord made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his”. And it is also written in 1 Corinthians that each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him. And again in Malachi it says to guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth. You said, Lord, that you hate divorce. Therefore, Lord, we stand against divorce.

Your word says that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Therefore we bind up the lies of the enemy that are coming against the minds and spirits of the men and women of Your church, Lord. We bind up doubt and we loose truth, we bind up confusion and we loose a sound mind, we bind up rebellion and we loose obedience and submissiveness to You, Lord, and Your Word. We bind up any roots of bitterness and we loose forgiveness, we bind up rejection and we loose the spirit of adoption, we bind up the spirit of lust and we loose faithfulness and purity.
Father, we stand against divorce in every way. Help us to hate it as much as you do.  Father, we acknowledge that satan is a defeated foe. He is void of any power. For Jesus conquered him and made an open show of him, humiliating him in front of all our enemies. And we as believers have been given all power and authority over the enemy and his lies. For your Word says that all authority had been given to you and that you gave it to us. Your word says that we are co-heirs with Jesus, and that we are seated together with Him in the heavenly realms. Far above all power, principalities, authorities and the rulers of darkness in this present world and in the one to come. The enemy is under our feet. Therefore, we are putting satan and all the demons of hell on notice right now that we are standing in the full authority of the Name of Jesus that was given to us and that they are loosed from their assignment against the marriage of ___________________________________ (fill in the blank with the name of the family you are praying for).

We cover this marriage with the precious blood of Jesus and we confess that this is a pure and godly marriage. That _______________________(names of the couple you are praying for) are actually one flesh, for this is written in God’s Word. We call them back to their covenant relationship with the spouse that God has placed them with. We call them back to their homes and say that they will not break covenant with the wife/husband of their youth. We break the hold that the enemy has on their mind and we bring all their thoughts captive to the lordship and obedience of Jesus Christ. We loose them to think on things which are just, lovely, pure, honest, holy and of good report. If there is any virtue, if there is any praise, these are the things they will think on.

The lies of the enemy we expose. They shall know the truth and the truth shall set them free. For it is for freedom that Christ has died, therefore they stand firm and do not allow themselves to be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Arise and shine O sleeper, for the glory of the Lord shines among you .We call _______________________ (names of the people you are praying for), to take their rightful, God-ordained place in the family. Father, we pray that their will, will line up with Your will. We pray that their spirits will be stirred up within them to be pleasing in Your eyes, Lord. Give them a burning desire to grow closer to You in every way, and teach them obedience, Lord. Save them from themselves and from their enemies. Give them eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is speaking to them. May their spouses and their families be always in their mind and thoughts, always before their eyes. May they think on them every waking moment and when they go to sleep. May their thoughts towards them be good, and just and may they long for them, Lord. Oh, may their hearts break at the thought of being separated from them even one more day.

Lord, the King’s heart is in your hands, direct it like a watercourse back to their spouse and their family. May they put on themselves love that binds them together in perfect unity. Father, place in them the agapao love for each other. A love that enables the men to love their wives as Christ loves the church, a love that enables a wife to be submissive towards her husband and that her eyes and heart and desire will always be for her husband. A pure love, a lasting love. Father, in the beginning, You said, and it was so. Your word tells us to have the faith of God and to be imitators of God. Your word also says that Your word will not return void but will accomplish that which it was sent forth to do. Therefore, the things we have spoken are so. They have been spoken into existence. Your word says that you say “Yes” to all your promises And if two or more agree on anything that it shall be done for us. Therefore we confess these things as done.
Now Lord, because Your word says that we are trapped by what we say, that we are ensnared by the words of our mouths we ask you to, set a guard over our mouths keep watch over the doors of our lips. Let not one word of doubt come out of our mouths. Help us to speak words of life, faith and truth according to Your word. We thank You, Lord, and we pray all things in Jesus name and say,” Amen” to the glory of God

Prayer from Philippians 1: 19 – 22

Father, I thank you that through the prayers of the saints, and the help given by the Holy Spirit, all that happens to me will turn out for my deliverance and avail toward the saving work of the Gospel. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. And I thank you Lord that as I go on living in the body this will mean fruitful labor for me. For you have promised me that I will see the reward of my labor.

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun [The Upright One] Who rides on the heavens to help me and on the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is my refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. He has driven out my enemies before me saying, “Destroy them!”. So I live in safety alone: My spring [of mental and spiritual faculties] is secure in a land of grain [to multiply] and new wine [possess, inherit, occupy], where the heavens drop dew. Blessed am I, O _______. Who is like me, a person saved by the Lord? He is my shield and helper and glorious sword. My enemies will cower before me and I will trample down their high places.

Prayer for Christ-like Living

I thank You, Lord, that as according to 2 Corinthians, You always lead me in triumphal procession in Christ and through me You spread everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of You. For I am to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. I thank you, Lord, that in Christ I speak before you with sincerity like men sent from You, God. And as a man sent from God, I speak the words of God, for you give the Spirit without limit as according to John 3:34. And I thank You, Lord, that I, with an unveiled face, reflects Your glory and I am being transformed into your likeness with ever increasing glory which comes from You, Lord.. Help me always to remember that my light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Father, with your help I purify myself from everything that contaminates body and spirit perfecting holiness out of reverence for You, God. And I pray, Lord, that just as I excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in love for You and others, that I will also excel in the grace of giving, And I thank You, Lord, that You who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will also supply and increase my store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of my righteousness, that I will be made rich in every way so that I can be generous on every occasion and through the generosity, it will result in thanksgiving to God.

I thank you that the service that I perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is overflowing in many expressions of thanks to You, God. And men will praise you for the obedience that accompanies my confession of the Gospel of Christ. Thank you that as others pray for me, their hearts will go out to me because of the surpassing grace that You, Lord, have given to me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I ask that the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give me the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, so that I may know Him better. I pray also that my heart will be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which He has called me, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparable great power for me, who believes. I pray also that out of His glorious riches He will strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being so that Christ will dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love will have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that I will be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. To God be the glory!

Lord, I thank you that with the help of your Holy Spirit I am devoted to prayer, being watchful and thankful. I ask for you to open doors for the message and that whenever I open my mouth, words will be given to me that I may proclaim and fearlessly make known the mystery of Christ for which I am in chains. I pray that I will proclaim it clearly as I should. Lord, make me wise in the way I act toward others. Help me to make the most of every opportunity. May my conversation be always full of grace and seasoned with salt, so that I will know how to answer everyone.

Prayer for Direction

I accept God’s Words and store up His commands within me. I do not forget His teachings. I turn my ears to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding. I search for wisdom as a hidden treasure. For the Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. The Lord holds victory in store for the upright. He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones.
I keep God’s commands in my heart, for they prolong my life many years and bring me prosperity and peace. Faithfulness, kindness, and truth never leave me. I bind them around my neck. Therefore, I win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my paths.
Whatever I do I commit to the Lord and my plans succeed. My ways are pleasing to the Lord, therefore, even my enemies live at peace with me.
In my heart I plan my course, but the Lord determines my steps. Many are the plans in my heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Thank you, Father, that You direct my steps and what I desire will be granted!
