Prayer of Thanks and Declaration

Thank you Lord that you hear my voice and I can call on you as long as I live. Thank you that you turn your ear to me and you hear my cry of mercy. You, Lord, are gracious and righteous; you are full of compassion and mercy. I thank you that when I was in great need, you saved me. I thank you that though I may walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes and with your right hand you save me. You protect me and you guard my life because I trust in You. I am yours.

Father, I love you with all my heart, and all my soul, and all my mind. I submit myself to you and those you have placed in authority over me. And I love my neighbor, even the unlovely, as myself. I do not repay evil for evil but am careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. I have sought out your precepts and have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you. I love how the unfolding of your words gives light and understanding to me. For your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. How I hunger after your teaching, your instruction and your direction! I meditate on it all day long. How sweet are your words to me! Since I gain understanding from your precepts, I hate every wrong path. Because I obey your Word and your commands they make me wiser than my enemies, give me more insight and understanding than my teachers and elders, and keep my feet from every evil path. Father, make your face shine upon me, your servant, and teach me your decrees. For I love your law and my heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end. They are the joy of my heart and are my heritage forever. I will never be put to shame for I have placed my trust in you.

I thank you that I can approach your throne of grace with confidence and receive mercy and grace in my time of need. For I stand cover by the blood of Jesus who died for me and became an atonement of sin for me. Therefore, I stand before you clothed with a garment of salvation and arrayed in a robe of righteousness by the blood of your precious Son, Jesus.

Father, I cast down all pride and I clothe myself with a spirit of humbleness. For you, Lord, will not share yo7ur glory with another. Therefore, I stand before you a humble servant. Your Word says that you crown the humble with salvation and dwell with those who have a contrite and humble spirit. And you have promised to save, guide, teach, prosper, and give grace to the humble. So, I thank you Lord that your word dwells with me richly and all these promises are mine. O Lord, set a guard over my mouth, keep watch over the door of my lips. Let my heart not be drawn to what is evil. Lord, I daily set myself apart to be holy as your Word says. And I will set no vile thing before my eyes. Now Lord, search me and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts, see if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Direct my footsteps according to your Word; let no sin rule over me. For you, Lord, are my God. You are my Refuge and my Shield. I have put my hope in your Word. My eyes are fixed on you, Lord. You are my refuge and my hiding place. Hear my voice when I call and come quickly to me. May my prayers be set before you like incense. May the lifting of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Thank you Lord, that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in love. Thank you that you fulfill your purpose for me and will not abandon the works of your hands. Thank you, Father that you make all grace abound to me so that in all things at all times, I have all that I need and I abound in every good work. Thank you that your love endures forever!

I will praise you and extol you! I will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might! Thank you, Lord that you are faithful to all your promises and all your promises are, “Yes!” in Christ. And I say, “Amen!” to the glory of you, my God, who makes me stand firm in Christ. You have anointed me and set your seal of ownership on me and your Spirit in my heart as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Hallelujah! To you, God, be all the glory and honor, now and forever. AMEN!

Prayer for the Wife

Lord make me a wife of noble character. Let my husband have full confidence in me and may he lack nothing of value. May I bring him good all the days of my life. Lord, help me never to neglect my present duties by assuming other duties. Help me to plant fruitful vines in my vineyard. Lord, I gird myself with spiritual and physical strength and fitness for my God given tasks. My arms are strong and firm; I taste and see that my gain from work with and for God is good. My lamp burns continuously through the night of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt, and distrust. Lord, help me always to reach out with opened and filled hands to the poor and needy, whether in body, mind, or spirit. May my family be doubly clothed in scarlet and the coverings I make for myself be of fine linen and purple. Let my husband be known in the city’s gates as he sits among the elders in the land. Lord, help me to lead others to purchase the fine linen and the sashes that frees one up for service. Let strength and dignity be my clothing and make my position strong and secure. Lord, I will rejoice over the future knowing that I and my family are ready for it. When I open my mouth skillful and godly wisdom is on my tongue with the law of kindness that gives counsel and instruction. Father, with your help, I look well to how things go in my household. I will not eat the bread of idleness, gossip, discontent, or self-pity. My children rise up and call me blessed, happy, fortunate, and to be envied. My husband boasts of and praises me, saying that I excel above all women. I am a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord. I shall see the reward of my labor.

Prayer for the Lost

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring ____________ before you now. I ask that the ministering angels will go and minister to ____________ who will inherit salvation. I ask that just as the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters and brought forth life, that the Holy Spirit will hover over ____________ and bring forth life. The born-again, incorruptible life by the Word of God which lives and abides forever as described in John 3 and 1 Peter 1:23.

I cast down pride, rebellion, imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. I take down all strongholds including thought patterns, opinions on religion, materialism and fear in ____________’s life. I bind satan from taking ____________ captive and I bind all wicked thoughts and lies that satan would try to place in ____________’s mind.

Father, I pray that the veil will be removed from before ____________’s eyes so he/she can see clearly the truths of Your Word. I ask that you impart divine revelation that will make the scriptures become spirit and life for ____________. And, Father, I pray that out of your great mercy that you will provide divine protection over ____________. Surround him/her with songs of deliverance. Place godly people in ____________’s pathway who will boldly speak forth Your Word to him/her. I apply the blood of Jesus all over ____________ from the top of his/her head to the soles of his/her feet. And I pray that the armor of God will be placed on ____________.

And now I declare as according to Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine ____________, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Now stand firm, take up your position, and see the deliverance of the Lord. For God has delivered you from the domain of darkness and transferred  you to the kingdom of His beloved Son, Jesus, as according to Colossians 1:13.

Father, I thank You for ____________’s deliverance. I pray now that ____________ will be taught by God’s Holy Spirit, Who is our counselor, teacher, and guide. I thank You, Father, that ____________ listens to You and obeys You and that ____________ is not only a hearer of the Word but is also a doer of the Word. Father, I thank You that all Your promises are yes in Christ Jesus and I say amen to the glory of God. I pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Name above all names, and by whose authority I come boldly before the throne and make my requests known. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer Against Divorce

Thank you, Father that you have instituted the covenant of marriage. Father, as Your Word says in Genesis, Matthew, Mark, and Ephesians that in the beginning of creation You made male and female, and for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate. And again in Malachi it is written, “Has not the Lord made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his”. And it is also written in 1 Corinthians that each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him. And again in Malachi it says to guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth. You said, Lord, that you hate divorce. Therefore, Lord, we stand against divorce.

Your word says that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Therefore we bind up the lies of the enemy that are coming against the minds and spirits of the men and women of Your church, Lord. We bind up doubt and we loose truth, we bind up confusion and we loose a sound mind, we bind up rebellion and we loose obedience and submissiveness to You, Lord, and Your Word. We bind up any roots of bitterness and we loose forgiveness, we bind up rejection and we loose the spirit of adoption, we bind up the spirit of lust and we loose faithfulness and purity.
Father, we stand against divorce in every way. Help us to hate it as much as you do.  Father, we acknowledge that satan is a defeated foe. He is void of any power. For Jesus conquered him and made an open show of him, humiliating him in front of all our enemies. And we as believers have been given all power and authority over the enemy and his lies. For your Word says that all authority had been given to you and that you gave it to us. Your word says that we are co-heirs with Jesus, and that we are seated together with Him in the heavenly realms. Far above all power, principalities, authorities and the rulers of darkness in this present world and in the one to come. The enemy is under our feet. Therefore, we are putting satan and all the demons of hell on notice right now that we are standing in the full authority of the Name of Jesus that was given to us and that they are loosed from their assignment against the marriage of ___________________________________ (fill in the blank with the name of the family you are praying for).

We cover this marriage with the precious blood of Jesus and we confess that this is a pure and godly marriage. That _______________________(names of the couple you are praying for) are actually one flesh, for this is written in God’s Word. We call them back to their covenant relationship with the spouse that God has placed them with. We call them back to their homes and say that they will not break covenant with the wife/husband of their youth. We break the hold that the enemy has on their mind and we bring all their thoughts captive to the lordship and obedience of Jesus Christ. We loose them to think on things which are just, lovely, pure, honest, holy and of good report. If there is any virtue, if there is any praise, these are the things they will think on.

The lies of the enemy we expose. They shall know the truth and the truth shall set them free. For it is for freedom that Christ has died, therefore they stand firm and do not allow themselves to be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Arise and shine O sleeper, for the glory of the Lord shines among you .We call _______________________ (names of the people you are praying for), to take their rightful, God-ordained place in the family. Father, we pray that their will, will line up with Your will. We pray that their spirits will be stirred up within them to be pleasing in Your eyes, Lord. Give them a burning desire to grow closer to You in every way, and teach them obedience, Lord. Save them from themselves and from their enemies. Give them eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is speaking to them. May their spouses and their families be always in their mind and thoughts, always before their eyes. May they think on them every waking moment and when they go to sleep. May their thoughts towards them be good, and just and may they long for them, Lord. Oh, may their hearts break at the thought of being separated from them even one more day.

Lord, the King’s heart is in your hands, direct it like a watercourse back to their spouse and their family. May they put on themselves love that binds them together in perfect unity. Father, place in them the agapao love for each other. A love that enables the men to love their wives as Christ loves the church, a love that enables a wife to be submissive towards her husband and that her eyes and heart and desire will always be for her husband. A pure love, a lasting love. Father, in the beginning, You said, and it was so. Your word tells us to have the faith of God and to be imitators of God. Your word also says that Your word will not return void but will accomplish that which it was sent forth to do. Therefore, the things we have spoken are so. They have been spoken into existence. Your word says that you say “Yes” to all your promises And if two or more agree on anything that it shall be done for us. Therefore we confess these things as done.
Now Lord, because Your word says that we are trapped by what we say, that we are ensnared by the words of our mouths we ask you to, set a guard over our mouths keep watch over the doors of our lips. Let not one word of doubt come out of our mouths. Help us to speak words of life, faith and truth according to Your word. We thank You, Lord, and we pray all things in Jesus name and say,” Amen” to the glory of God

Prayer from Philippians 1: 19 – 22

Father, I thank you that through the prayers of the saints, and the help given by the Holy Spirit, all that happens to me will turn out for my deliverance and avail toward the saving work of the Gospel. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. And I thank you Lord that as I go on living in the body this will mean fruitful labor for me. For you have promised me that I will see the reward of my labor.

Prayer from Deuteronomy 33: 26 – 29

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun [The Upright One] Who rides on the heavens to help me and on the clouds in His majesty. The eternal God is my refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. He has driven out my enemies before me saying, “Destroy them!”. So I live in safety alone: My spring [of mental and spiritual faculties] is secure in a land of grain [to multiply] and new wine [possess, inherit, occupy], where the heavens drop dew. Blessed am I, O _______. Who is like me, a person saved by the Lord? He is my shield and helper and glorious sword. My enemies will cower before me and I will trample down their high places.

Prayer for Christ-like Living

I thank You, Lord, that as according to 2 Corinthians, You always lead me in triumphal procession in Christ and through me You spread everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of You. For I am to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. I thank you, Lord, that in Christ I speak before you with sincerity like men sent from You, God. And as a man sent from God, I speak the words of God, for you give the Spirit without limit as according to John 3:34. And I thank You, Lord, that I, with an unveiled face, reflects Your glory and I am being transformed into your likeness with ever increasing glory which comes from You, Lord.. Help me always to remember that my light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Father, with your help I purify myself from everything that contaminates body and spirit perfecting holiness out of reverence for You, God. And I pray, Lord, that just as I excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in love for You and others, that I will also excel in the grace of giving, And I thank You, Lord, that You who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will also supply and increase my store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of my righteousness, that I will be made rich in every way so that I can be generous on every occasion and through the generosity, it will result in thanksgiving to God.

I thank you that the service that I perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is overflowing in many expressions of thanks to You, God. And men will praise you for the obedience that accompanies my confession of the Gospel of Christ. Thank you that as others pray for me, their hearts will go out to me because of the surpassing grace that You, Lord, have given to me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Prayer from Ephesians

I ask that the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give me the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, so that I may know Him better. I pray also that my heart will be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which He has called me, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparable great power for me, who believes. I pray also that out of His glorious riches He will strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being so that Christ will dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love will have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that I will be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. To God be the glory!

Prayer from Colossians 4: 2-6

Lord, I thank you that with the help of your Holy Spirit I am devoted to prayer, being watchful and thankful. I ask for you to open doors for the message and that whenever I open my mouth, words will be given to me that I may proclaim and fearlessly make known the mystery of Christ for which I am in chains. I pray that I will proclaim it clearly as I should. Lord, make me wise in the way I act toward others. Help me to make the most of every opportunity. May my conversation be always full of grace and seasoned with salt, so that I will know how to answer everyone.

Prayer from Psalms

Lord, let me hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Satisfy me with your unfailing love that I may sing for joy and be glad all of my days. Teach me the way in which I should walk; for to You I lift up my soul. Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies. I take refuge in you. I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God, let your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, o Lord, preserve my life. Revive me, O Lord! In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble, in your loving kindness cut off my enemies and destroy all those who afflict my soul, for I am your servant. May your favor rest upon me. Establish the work of my hands for me, yes, establish the work of my hands.

Prayer for Direction

I accept God’s Words and store up His commands within me. I do not forget His teachings. I turn my ears to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding. I search for wisdom as a hidden treasure. For the Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. The Lord holds victory in store for the upright. He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones.
I keep God’s commands in my heart, for they prolong my life many years and bring me prosperity and peace. Faithfulness, kindness, and truth never leave me. I bind them around my neck. Therefore, I win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my paths.
Whatever I do I commit to the Lord and my plans succeed. My ways are pleasing to the Lord, therefore, even my enemies live at peace with me.
In my heart I plan my course, but the Lord determines my steps. Many are the plans in my heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Thank you, Father, that You direct my steps and what I desire will be granted!
